Department Vision
The Department of Medical Parasitology at Faculty of Medicine, Alexandria University aims to take the responsibility to be a leading department on regional and global levels in education and scientific research to solve community medical problems.
Department Mission
The Department of Medical Parasitology at Faculty of Medicine, Alexandria University is committed to:
• Provide high level of education and training for under- and postgraduate students and physicians to identify and diagnose parasites causing major health problems in the fields of medicine and health profession.
• Implement basic and advanced scientific research in parasitic diseases and control related to the society needs while conserving traditions and social values as well as professional ethics.
• Offer high quality laboratory services in the diagnosis of various parasitic diseases.
• Participate in planning, implementation, and evaluation of parasitic disease control programs.
